Inside the FiC Builders Club: Chaos, Grants, Jobs, and Zero Small Talk
It’s like if your group chat had grant links, pitch decks, zero cringe—and 100+ builders who actually reply.
What if we made a WhatsApp group for Canadian builders—and actually kept it useful?
A few weeks in, and it’s turned into a chaotic, brilliant, founder-first space where 100+ folks are:
💰 Dropping grants
📣 Posting job leads
💡 Sharing MVPs and pitch decks
🧠 Asking real questions
🫶 Getting real support
No spam. No ego. No “hey everyone, what do you do?”
Just real ones building real things.
What Actually Happens Inside
A random week looked like this:
Someone posted a $50K grant → 6 people applied within 30 minutes
A founder dropped their deck → got 3 collab DMs
Someone opened up about burnout → sparked a support thread full of tools
A job board link → 4 people got hired
A build blocker → solved in 12 messages or less
It’s a little unhinged. A lot helpful.
And somehow, it works.
What It’s Not
❌ Another dead Slack group with 2 pinned threads and a ghost
❌ A place to pitch your course or sell your ebook
❌ Just tech bros posting AI screenshots
We keep it tight. Weird. Useful. And actually human.
Why We Made This
Because building in Canada can feel lonely as hell.
The Builders Club is our answer:
A cross-country, no-fluff group chat for anyone who's building something—or helping others build.
If you're a solo founder, a student with a side project, part of an org, or just figuring it out...
you’ll probably find your people here.
Wanna Join the Club?
We’re keeping it small(ish) and opt-in on purpose.
But if you’ve made it this far, you’re probably our kind of builder.
No pitch deck required.
Just good vibes, big ideas, and builders who actually show up.
